When I think about the fall I think about yummy warm foods like chili, beef stews, and chicken pot pie. What are some of your favorite foods to make this time of year?
I layered a variation of Oreo's, Graham crackers, marshmallows, and Millano Cookies. I used Chocolate and Vanilla pudding. I mixed and matched layers and topped it off with candy skulls, bones, and hands. It was pretty easy to make and really yummy. I think a smaller amount would be better for me but I was still able to eat it all. I think adding whip cream, peanut butter, and banana would be good additions to mix it up.
I had my first experience learning to can tomatoes, salsa, and V4 juice (4 vegetables juice). There was 5 of us working on it. It is not hard just time consuming cutting veggies, boiling them down, sterilizing jars and making sure they are sealed. Here is our end result. There are 3 jars of Salsa that were extra hot! Great Experience!
This year we are having a Taco Bar with all the fixings with our friends at the pool. Hopefully the rain will hold off for that day! What is everyone else doing for Labor Day?
