Strawberry Upside-Down Cake

Strawberry Upsid-Down Cake

In the mood for a delicious strawberry cake? This easy Strawberry Upside Down cake is simple to make and yummy!

Serves: 12-15

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 50-60 minutes

Ingredients:

2 cups strawberries (chopped) preferably fresh but can use frozen

6 ounces strawberry Jell-O

3 cups miniature marshmallows

1 white cake mix (prepared according to box directions)

Cool whip or whipped cream (optional)

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Prepare cake batter according to the box directions and set aside.

Chop strawberries in halves or quarters. If you get the pre-sliced strawberries it cuts the time in half. Place strawberries evenly in a (Pam sprayed) 9x13 baking dish.

Evenly sprinkle dry Jell-O mix over top of strawberries.

Evenly sprinkle miniature marshmallows over the top.

Pour the cake batter over the top.

Bake in oven for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Allow the cake to cool for 20 minutes. Then gently run a knife around the edges and flip cake out into a serving tray.

Cool completely then serve or cover and refrigerate.

Optional: Put a dollop of Cool Whip or Whipped Cream on top of slice of cake when serving. Ice cream could be used too.
